This IDC study examines vendor revenue performance in the business analytics software market for 2005–2007 and presents a forecast for 2008–2012. The study further shows regional market revenue share and discusses future trends that will drive adoption of business analytics software for the next five years.

"The business analytics software market continued to grow despite acquisitions and mature product offerings," said Brian McDonough, research manager for IDC's business analytics research service. "We expect a slowdown in growth in 2009, but the fundamental drivers of adoption remain strong and will help the market to recover to previously forecast growth rates in 2010."
