As Vice President Infrastructure Channels and Alliances, Ms. Waxman leads a team of researchers responsible for identifying and analyzing go to market strategies that are key to the success of the infrastructure focused IT vendors. This encompasses tracking a set of business issues that face these suppliers' ecosystems, including distribution channels, strategic alliances, partnering strategies as well as balancing hybrid and complex routes to market. The team provides guidance and advice to a broad range of companies including start-ups through multi-national organizations. Ms. Waxman's research specifically focuses on these key issues for server and storage related products.

During her tenure at IDC, Ms. Waxman has led several in-depth studies including the Economics of the Channel as well as a series of studies tracking customer buying patterns both via direct and indirect channels. This is coupled with a continuing focus on the changes within each of these channels resulting in forecast and analysis of the products and their associated routes to market. Ms. Waxman is a recognized expert in this field as is featured speaker at a range of industry events and is often quoted in the press by both trade and business publications.

Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Waxman worked in various roles including supplier, distributor and as a VAR gaining insight into the inner workings of the channel from a broad and comprehensive perspective. She has been recognized by IDC as a winner of the James Peacock Award, Analyst of the Year Award as well an IDC Research Quality Award. Ms. Waxman is located in Framingham, MA.
