Abstract

This IDC Survey analyzes the results of waves 6 to 11 of IDC's Worldwide Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, conducted in 2H23. It investigates themes around the impact of macroeconomic events on worldwide organizations' IT strategy and spending. The goal is to provide a global picture on recession sentiments, external risk factors, and changes in IT spending and budgets as well as identify differences across regions.

"As the year progresses, there has been a discernible shift in the perception of organizational resilience, with a diminishing proportion of entities believing that no areas will remain immune to budget reductions," said Lapo Fioretti, senior research analyst at IDC.
