Manufacturing Forum

Future Factory 2024

Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic

The year 2024 will bring another set of challenges for the Czech industry, which must be responded to. With deliberation, but decisively. Rising inflation has left manufacturing companies with still relatively high energy costs. A depleted labour market, fluctuations in demand for manufactured goods and meeting changing regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to demands for environmental sustainability, also remain huge challenges. The intensification of competition between regions, particularly Europe, the US, China and India, is also a relatively new challenge.

Overview

For Czech manufacturing companies, these challenges bring even greater emphasis on cost management, the introduction of product and production innovations, intelligent automation and the use of digital technologies. Of course, the development of workers who must work with technology and use it to its full potential should also be a matter of course.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, particularly the meteoric rise of generative AI, have become a phenomenon in the manufacturing environment in recent years. And where there is data, there is also a need to ensure its absolute safety and security.

So the complex and changing world of manufacturing companies and supply chains also requires an understanding of the connections between processes, modern technologies and workforce engagement.
