Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses current and planned adoption for generative AI (GenAI) within the software development and delivery domain in EMEA. It provides a in-depth view on the key software development and delivery use cases for generative AI, including views based on the software engineering maturity of EMEA organizations as well as views by persona (i.e., developer, operations and platform teams, architecture, senior IT leadership).
The document is based on a survey question from IDC's EMEA Application Development and Delivery Survey, conducted in September 2024. The survey, which covered 720 organizations with more than 500 FTEs across the region that have capabilities in software development and delivery, was carried out via telephone/CATI.
