Abstract
This IDC Survey includes data from IDC's Global Future of Work Survey conducted in April 2023 and IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 5, conducted in June 2023. The document provides the results and analysis from a global survey of more than 1,000 senior leaders. Respondents are from a broad range of industries and company sizes. The global poll was designed to understand regional differences across APAC, North America, and EMEA around the work transformation initiatives of office redesign and workplace technologies investments.
Redesigning physical workplaces implies that the office will need to be redesigned, reinvigorated, and reinvented. The real employer push to be back in the office in a more purposeful way requires technology investment, leading to better employee experiences and improved business value.
This document also highlights data from June 2023 that explains the biggest motivators for an organization's leadership to bring employees back to the office. Leaders focus on key areas such as informal learning opportunities, culture, collaboration, and access to tools and physical resources as well as employee experience when bringing employees back to the office, especially new hires.
