Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight provides a worldwide view on how infrastructure considerations impact AI strategies and spending plans. The information in this document is based on IDC's July 2024 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 7, which includes responses from 891 IT and business decision-makers representing a worldwide mix of industries and geographies.

"IDC's research shows that combined spending on dedicated and public cloud infrastructure for AI is expected to represent 42% of new AI spending worldwide through 2025. The majority of organizations believe their AI requirements will necessitate an interoperable, hybrid fit-for-purpose infrastructure strategy, " explains Mary Johnston Turner, IDC research vice president for Digital Infrastructure Strategies at IDC.
