Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights data from IDC's Future Enterprise Connectivity Survey, fielded in August 2024, capturing connectivity technology priorities, networking challenges, and investment expectations from 751 enterprise decision-makers worldwide across 19 countries and 18 vertical industries.
IDC's 2024 Future Enterprise Connectivity Survey shows that outside of North America, IoT devices and applications rank as the top 5G wireless technology to help enterprise employees stay connected with each other, customers and partners. Regions were varied; with 54% of APAC enterprises and 42% of European enterprises stated they were using 5G-enabled IoT today compared with 40% of North American businesses. Conversely, fixed wireless access usage is higher in North America than in Europe or APAC.
