Abstract
This IDC Survey presentation looks at European customers' expectations of the role of cloud in their GenAI journeys. The report analyses responses from the European sample of IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency & Spending Survey (FERS), Wave 1 (n = 220) and IDC's FERS Survey, Wave 2 (n = 225).
While public cloud providers are seen as strategic technology partners for organizations on GenAI journeys, European organizations envision that dedicated digital infrastructure, whether on premises or in a colocation, will also play a significant role in their GenAI implementations. This report looks at decision-making criteria for GenAI workload placement and European customers' challenges in this regard.
