Abstract
This IDC Tech Buyer Survey Spotlight examines how European security leaders, including CISOs, are reassessing where they host their security workloads. IDC data shows that between 2023 and 2024, there was an increase in those that think delivering security in an on-prem environment is more effective than public cloud.
This change is happening at the same time as long-protected security budgets are starting to come under pressure in Europe. CISOs are already seeking to control cloud complexity and cost, but more can be done, and there are readily available advice and products to help with these assessments.
