Abstract
This IDC study presents an updated outlook for the solid state drive (SSD) market for the 2022–2026 period. SSD industry dynamics and the end-device forecast changes are aggregated, analyzed, and applied to IDC's long-term SSD forecast in terms of units, revenue, and petabytes for each consumption category (client, enterprise, and commercial).
"Navigating near-term uncertainty and macroeconomic headwinds are challenges facing the SSD industry," said Jeff Janukowicz, research vice president, Solid State Drives and Enabling Technologies at IDC. "However, secular trends will continue to benefit the SSD industry over time and underpins worldwide SSD capacity growth over the forecast, which is expected to exceed a CAGR of 28% for 2021–2026."
