Abstract


This IDC Market Presentation covers in detail some of the ongoing efforts, transition, and collaboration between OEMs and tech vendors. The new age connected in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems are embedded with standalone cellular connectivity, for supporting web-based user apps for navigation, online gaming, and streaming media content and security features, with over the air (OTA) update capability and AI-powered voice-based assistant to control the vehicle features. These advanced IVI features are mostly prevalent in electric vehicles and few existing premium gasoline and hybrid vehicles.
