Abstract
This IDC Survey details results from IDC's 2022 Commercial Smartphone, Wearables, and Smart Office Survey, which was fielded in December. The survey asked respondents questions regarding enterprise adoption of and attitudes toward a variety of devices and services deployed across the organization. This IDC Survey document focuses on aspects of the survey related to use of smart assistants in the workplace.
"As enterprises explore smart office solutions like smart assistant platforms and consider their impact across the business, uncertainties remain about the readiness of the people that will be using these devices and whether or not their engagement will be sufficient to justify the business investment and ultimately decide the success of deployments," said Adam Wright, research manager for IDC's Smart Home and Office Devices program. "Vendors need to do more to raise awareness of the business benefits of smart assistants in the workplace and demonstrate a clear return on investment in order to generate buy-in from relevant stakeholders across the organization."
