This IDC study provides a five-year forecast for the U.S. smart home monitoring and security device market for the 2023–2027 period.
"Compared with other device segments, the market for smart home monitoring and security devices remains robust despite downward pressure on shipments due to economic volatility," says Adam Wright, research manager for IDC's Smart Home and Office Devices research program. "Consumer demand for smart cameras, locks, doorbells, and other devices is higher than for many other types of smart home devices, despite wallets becoming increasingly squeezed from high inflation and increasing credit card debt."
