Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights data from IDC's November 2023 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 10, which shows the diverse sourcing that enterprises are relying on for generative AI applications. Kubernetes, as a universal and consistent infrastructure for AI applications, has enormous potential to seamlessly connect the services and locations that distributed AI applications will require.

According to Gary Chen, research director, Software Defined Compute at IDC, "One of the key benefits of Kubernetes is portability and consistency for hybrid cloud and multicloud applications. However, few of these applications and use cases emerged, but generative AI is developing to be the killer use case for distributed Kubernetes."
