Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines investment rise collaboration apps, as well as generative AI (GenAI). The need to more effectively collaborate and demonstrate productivity is reflected in the planned enterprise spending for the next 18 months. This research, based on the IDC global study, IDC's March 2024 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 3, shows these core areas by major region. While the increased spend in these areas may not be surprising, the rises in adjacent application areas, especially by region, are interesting to note and may signal additional trends on the horizon.
