Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the top technology challenges that enterprises face in supporting the distributed workforce, showing that 28% of enterprises see internet connectivity issues as a top issue for 2024. This percentage increases for small organizations as well as for oil/gas and construction industries. The data also highlights the challenge as well as the importance of creating a common foundation for network access, security, and connectivity resiliency for employees regardless of location.
The data comes from IDC's 2024 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 3, which captures technology and IT priorities, challenges, and investment expectations from 887 world enterprise decision-makers across 19 countries and over 20 industry segments.
