Abstract
This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for the U.S. business use of tablet shipments by operating system and user type (consumer, individual liable, and corporate liable). It is part of IDC's continuing research with respect to mobile devices. Findings in this document are based on information gathered from primary and secondary sources during the past six months.
"In 2024, U.S. businesses are expected to continue prioritizing mobile device, application, and security management solutions over the purchase of new tablets for employees," says Bryan Bassett, research manager for IDC's Enterprise Mobility: Workspace and Deployment Strategies program. "Regardless, tablets remain critical to U.S. businesses and business users, as they present unique deployment opportunities for both information and frontline workers alike."
