Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight reports data from IDC's April 2024 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 4, identifying the use of open source GenAI models for enterprise use cases that require training or fine-tuning. The survey shows that open source GenAI models are keeping pace with the use of proprietary models for these use cases, and those organizations with multiple GenAI apps in production are more likely to be customizing or fine-tuning open source models than organizations still investing or experimenting.
