Abstract
This IDC Perspective highlights key announcements from the Microsoft Build 2024 conference in May 2024. Significant advancements in AI were demonstrated at the event, including new tools and enhancements for Azure, copilot development, generative AI (GenAI) models, and tools to simplify the development of cloud-native applications.
"Combined, these announcements represent advancements in generative AI tools and platforms that could lead to greater innovation, efficiency, and productivity across a wide range of net-new and existing applications," said Jim Mercer, program vice president of DevOps and DevSecOps at IDC.
