This IDC study examines the worldwide private LTE/5G wireless infrastructure market for 2024–2028.
"The private 4G/LTE market is expected to remain resilient over the next few years, particularly in verticals (e.g., utilities) where the use cases can be served by 4G. 5G is driving its own story, however, with most industrial deployments moving to 5G for its use of midband spectrum and longer innovation pipeline," says Patrick Filkins, senior research manager, IoT/Edge and Telecom Networks.
