Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight answers the following questions:
- If your organization paid a ransom in the past 12 months to regain access to systems or data, how much was paid?
- Does your organization have a cyberinsurance policy?
The analysis includes cyberinsurance adoption and fluctuation in ransomware payments year-over- year (y/y), organizations that "did not experience a breach," and how much of the ransom did organizations pay out of pocket.
The document contains data from IDC's June 2024 worldwide Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 6, which included 887 respondents.
