This IDC Survey Spotlight focuses on how buyers in IT and business roles regard industry-specific digital platforms and how the use of specific technology terms versus more generic descriptors can affect the reported levels of awareness and use for industry-specific systems.
The data validates the changes that some vendors are already making in how they refer to their industry clouds or industry-specific digital platforms.
The analysis is based on results from IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 5, which was conducted in May 2024 and had 871 qualified respondents worldwide from various industries and organizational sizes.
