Abstract
This IDC study provides semiconductor market shares across primary client devices for 3Q22.
"The third quarter of 2022 has seen the chip shortage – some of which was caused by OEMs building up inventor – flip around to become oversupply," said Phil Solis, research director for Connectivity and Smartphone Semiconductors at IDC. "Excess inventory of processors are being exacerbated by excess inventory of primary client devices, and this will take until mid-2023 to balance out."
