This IDC Market Perspective discusses the worldwide managed cloud services deal penetration in the IT outsourcing (ITO) services market for 2019–2023.
"The collective impact of changing customer needs and sourcing strategies as well as increasing competitive threats from public cloud providers is placing enormous pressure on managed SPs to make significant adjustments to their business models to ensure that they can continue growing and winning managed cloud services deals," says David Tapper, program vice president, Outsourcing and Managed Cloud Services at IDC. "Ensuring success will require that managed SPs develop a differentiated strategy, build a new operating model, utilize critical partnerships for digital transformation, leverage the strengths in supporting multicloud operations, implement a robust governance structure, create a matrix management function to support use of public cloud providers, and incorporate an end-to-end risk management function."
